Pictures of Evangeline Muddock ('Evangeline Muddock, Eva Muddock, Eva Mudocci) 9 October 1872 - 25 Feb 1952

Eva - a noted beauty and a child prodigy at both violin and piano - gave many concerts around Europe.

Eva Mudocci (Evangeline Muddock) was the lover of Norwegian artists Edvard Munch when they were both in Paris around 1901-1903. She disliked his Salome. Munch's The Violin Concert shows Eva and Bella Edwards.

The Brooch (1903)  is drawn directly onto stone. Andy Warhol's 1984 rendition is more famous.

Henry Matisse made the above pencil drawing of Eva Mudocci in 1915, which Kitaj used in The Fascist (E.P) (1971), adding the face of Ezra Pound to Matisse's Eva.
